Air for cattle barns
For cattle we specialise in air: ventilation, air exchange, cooling and climate. The aim is stable conditions for the animals and protection from heat stress.
The barn from above
Stalls on both sides of the feed alley, fans over the stalls and the controller that runs them. Fan positions and air exchange are calculated for the structure of the barn.
Schematic, not to scale.
Ventilation
For cattle the key is air movement at animal level and removal of moisture and gases. Fan positions and air exchange are calculated for the barn structure.
Cooling
For cattle, cooling together with air movement eases the strain of hot weather on the animals.
Climate control
In a cattle barn the controller runs the fans and cooling on temperature and humidity.
What the calculation needs
If the data is sufficient, a preliminary calculation is possible before a site visit.
- Barn dimensions and building type
- Number of animals and housing system
- Current concern: heat, humidity, air quality
